01Narrative

Apamea lutosa, the opalescent apamea, is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found in the northeastern United States, including New York and Indiana. In Canada it is found in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. It is a medium-sized moth (FW length 15–19 mm) with a light grayish ochre forewing with a gray spot in the lower reniform spot and otherwise ill-defined forewing pattern. Larvae have been recorded on Elytrigia repens.
