Entomologia systematica emendata et aucta, secundum classes, ordines, genera, species adjectis synonimis, locis, observationibus, descriptionibus. Volume 4. Hafniae: C. G. Proft, Fil et Soc. [6] 472 [5] pp. [Appendix specierum nuper detectarum, pp. 435-462]. (1794). The species was first described in 1794 by Johan Christian Fabricius.
