01Narrative

The sulphur-breasted parakeet (Aratinga maculata), or sulphur-breasted conure is a species of parrot from Brazil and Suriname.Ottema, O., J. H. Ribot, & A. Spaans (2009). Species lists of birds for South American countries and territories: Suriname. Version 28-04-2009. It resembles the closely related sun parakeet.Silveira, L. F., F. C. T. de Lima, and E. Höfling (2005). A new species of Aratinga parakeet (Psittaciformes:Psittacidae) from Brazil, with taxonomic remarks on the Aratinga solstitialis complex. The Auk 122: 292-305
