Aegirocassis est un genre fossile d'arthropodes marins radiodontes (en) de la famille disparue des hurdiidés (en) appartenant au clade des Anomalocarida dans lequel se place aussi la famille des anomalocarididés, des animaux marins apparus il y a 520 millions d'années et proches des actuels arthropodes. Une seule espèce est rattachée au genre, Aegirocassis benmoulae, décrite en 2015 par Peter Van Roy (d), Allison C. Daley (d) et Derek Briggs. Un premier fossile fut découvert dans la partie inférieure de la formation des argiles de Fezouata dans le Sud-Est du Maroc par Mohamed Ben Moula, un chasseur de fossiles marocain en l'honneur duquel l'animal a été nommé, lorsqu'il fut décrit en 2015 dans le journal scientifique Nature.
